They are not doing anything proactive.
to try and quell the noise.
The Herald are going hard at it.
The Herald have no commercial arrangements with the NRL, which is probably a reason why they are going hard at it and why other media is probably not going as hard at it.
So not through nine?
Well, yeah, but nine, the company would, but not the Herald itself.
So, look, that just opens up a whole other conversation down that track.
But I think it's time the NRL basically did the right thing by the fans and got out and said, okay, this is what we know.
This is why we made the decision.
The fact that they try to say, look, he was dealt with in 2019, and we know that four years later, he's gone through another 400 grand, shows us it wasn't dealt with, certainly not to anybody's satisfaction.
And with due respect to Ashley Klein, we're supposed to now say, just because he's put himself on an app, which basically shuts down his betting apps, he's never had a bet.
It is easy to walk past a tab or to walk into a club and put bets on anywhere.
But just by putting yourself on a betting app doesn't essentially necessarily mean that it's impossible to get a bet on either.
So anyway, I want to throw it to the NRL to try and get off their arse and actually come out and do something for the fans and show the fans why we should not be concerned.
because at the moment everybody has an opinion, everybody is concerned.
Yeah, I have got the shits about that too because, you know what, on the weekend we sat there.
Look, I said on Thursday's show I thought the Brisbane Souths game would be a stinker and it was a stinker.
You reckon?
Yeah.
I loved it.
