Where it gets cloudy again, though, is it is a public game, and it needs public faith.
And you need people's faith in the game, that the game is handling it responsibly and honestly.
And with the NRL basically putting the shutters up and refusing to really divulge any details about it,
Now, I think that the whole investigation should be made transparent.
I think it should be actually published what the findings were.

The gambling aspect of the game, the performance of referees, the lack of accountability for many of the decisions they're making, and it just continues to, I think, add to this whole narrative that something stinks in the state of Denmark.
I get that.
Okay.
But this to me, gambling on a game affects the outcome of the game, which affects the integrity of the whole sport.
I get that.
And that's why they need to come out.
And if that's all it is, show us the investigation.
Show us where he bet.
And we're not alleging that Ashley Cline has bet on rugby league.
Let's be clear about that.
But let's just talk hypotheticals here.
Anybody that gets themselves into a $400,000 gambling debt is open to shadowy figures coming in and offering them ways to get out of that debt.
