Well, we really can't solve the actual problem.
We can't cure the disease.
So maybe if we act like, you know, we're treating one of the symptoms and we give it a different name, and this is part of the playbook, folks.
You remember, I'm going to go back to something when I was working.
Carlos Blitzo, and then after that, Major Nadal Hassan, the shooters down in Arkansas, and then on the military base, dead American soldiers.
The guy was a stone jihadi.
He was a member of the American military.
Out comes Obama, and out comes his AG holder at the time, and tells us, no, it's workplace violence.
And as a result, it was never adequately investigated.
And a Democrat, to his credit, Lieberman, called BS on it.
The language does matter.
And changing the language just doesn't mean that the whole problem goes away.
You've got to, at some point, treat the disease.
Right now, you can't put juveniles—all these rules that make it so hard to track juveniles who are going into gang life here in New York.
They want, in fact, the NYPD gang whole database to go away.
If you don't get a kid young, feel the pressure of the system to try to scare them straight, especially if the kid doesn't have good adult supervision, then, you know, you miss that opportunity.
And changing the words, changing the name is not going to help.
I don't remember anybody calling the mafia, you know, well-fed men with cigars.
You know, I mean, nobody tried to obfuscate that.
You know, they called it what it was, you know.
