Not going to work, but I have the faith that Kevin O'Connell, one way or another, even if selfishly, like just behind closed doors, no cameras or microphones in the place, and Kevin O'Connell's just thinking to himself,

yeah, this quarterback thing has to be better.

Not for even the sake of the fans and everybody wanting to win games.

I want to win.

I became a head coach to win games.

I became a head coach to win a Super Bowl.

And I got this opportunity through an immense amount of work.

I'm going to make the decisions that are mine, and I own them.

But I have to trust in Kevin O'Connell in this spot, and I do, that whoever ends up being QB1, that that's the right decision.

And I have to trust in some respect until the games start counting, and we can then judge and analyze or scrutinize it accordingly.

I have to trust that Blake Brandl, if he's in that spot, that Blake's ready to take on that role.

And so around these young kids that have to be something, you still believe in an Andrew Van Ginkle.

You still believe in a Blake Cashman.

You love what you saw Dallas Turner ascend to over the course of year two, and you want him to build on that, and you believe that can be a thing.

You love Isaiah Rogers and Murph in the mix defensively.

Because of B-Flow, I believe that James Pierre can be a thing.

Yes, same.

I'm still mostly confident that number 22 is just going to emerge from the fog at some point and strap it up one more time, and that'll be the third consecutive swan song that we'll be doing at the end of the season.

I still believe that.

But among the kids that have to be something, in the end, we're still going to be seeing the highlight reel stuff on a weekly basis from some of the things that this coaching staff has already built, is already in place, and that we already know is good.
