But if a lad's involved in the panel, you shouldn't be telling anyone anything.

You should just... There's no business.

The Hurling Pod

Like, you just... What goes on in the panel... And that, for me, is an indicator sometimes of where...

The Hurling Pod

Maybe things aren't perfect.

The Hurling Pod

But not even that.

No, not even that.

I've seen instances where fellas just are flippant.

The Hurling Pod

They just don't really think that it's that important.

They just think, oh, sure, look, the team's going to be named on US Sunday.

So you'd hear it coming out.

And you'd see with other counties where lads will say things and you're like, I've encountered it definitely where it's not someone who's disgruntled.

The Hurling Pod

it's just that thing of loose lips sink ships it's just lads just don't know to keep it to themselves like what's what's the benefit of other people knowing your business in terms of with that there's no benefit um but sometimes just can't keep it to themselves unfortunately and you know what you're right about some camps as well because you know people wondering about like the fact that no one talks about caroline from inside the limerick camp or doesn't anything of any substance

The Hurling Pod

yeah you'd imagine he would like but the interesting thing with it like once once i saw the the the commotion there a couple of weeks ago and i actually looked at the interview with a few of the answer players and they said that it didn't affect them in the panel which look that's if they're saying that that's fair enough they said it wasn't much of a distraction but i remember like us even chatting in the group um when we heard it that day and i just remember saying like it's very hard to bounce back from this regardless what happened and by the looks of it he had the players support you know it was really the players were saying that they supported him

But even at that stage now, when you have a triangle of the county board and the players and the manager and there's kind of a little bit of confusion or whatever it might be, really from that point on, you were saying, well, look, the results haven't been great and maybe it's going to take a step back.

But something I did see, in fairness, like James McNaughton came out and he was in the paper and a few players were in the paper saying that, you know, they really enjoyed their time with him and that he did a great job, et cetera, et cetera.

The Hurling Pod

So that is one of the things that I'm seeing there, because when that happened, I was wondering, was it maybe coming from the players or what was the situation?

The Hurling Pod

But to be honest, the players seem to appreciate the time he did up there and that he put in a lot.

The Hurling Pod

So I will say that because we've said plenty of times where it didn't work out for Davy up there.

The Hurling Pod

I questioned it from the start, him going up.

I was like, Jesus, I don't know, will this be the right fit?
