The Atlanta Hawks in 1985 drafted Arvidas Sabonis in the seventh round of the draft.

They held his rights for one year.

They couldn't get him signed to get him over here.

It was a lot more difficult at the time.

The following year, the Portland Trailblazers took him late in the first round of the 86 draft and took them a while.
