uh very, very aggressively that maybe franchising should stop taking the American Express card.

And I got a senior VP that contacted me and I wound up having meetings with with them and their executive team uh that put together the program and

They really didn't understand what franchising was about.

And over the next four years we've made some progress, but they still don't consider that um there's a lot of individuals that have put their hard earned money uh into this, just like any mom and pop on on Main Street USA.

uh the same way.

I bring that up because I felt when all of this about the uh minimum wage in Seattle

Uh I felt that there was a lot of politicians up there that really didn't understand

franchising.

And the way they wanted to position franchising is more advantageous than the independent business owner.

And of course

put the uh the rules in effect or want them to put the rules in effect for franchising ahead of other small businesses.

And I know the IFA is very passionate about this.

to address this, continue to address this increase in the minimum wage.
