When dinosaurs mated, it got a little rough.

That might not come as a major revelation, but some top paleontologists now say they can prove it.

The journal iScience citing fossil evidence that mating between some dinosaurs was so violent that they literally broke each other's bones.

Fossils from the three-ton duck-billed dinosaur showed a number of broken bones and fractured spines sitting on top of its tail's vertebrae.

Their bones mended naturally over time until the next mating season.
