You know, and one of the insidious things about AI, you know, AI is so broad.
When we're talking about large language models, these things don't think.
you know, these aren't like what you would consider a classic AI, what that where there's some sort of logic.
You know, it's it's a sophisticated word matching algorithm.
And I highly suggest people read uh Ted Chang's new article for for The Atlantic that just came out last week.
Um, you know, talking about it.
I think he does a great job of explaining what it is and what it is not.
And how the companies are purposefully using like the language of of consciousness and thought and almost like personhood, they do it on purpose to
to make it think, Oh, it's more okay, you know, to use this.
Yeah.
Yeah, I um I mean, on one hand, I think you're uh ascribing them too much uh insight, uh like your own insight into what art means, you know, because I really do think it's a money grab, and I do think it's tied into like the
humanity's long, weird, um
Macho looking down upon art and the makers of art is like, oh, you know, this is not this this isn't value.
This isn't, you know, especially on sort of coming from, you know, men, like, oh, this isn't like the manly thing like making money in a business or you know, or building a house or doing this.
I mean that the attitude's been around forever.
I do think there's some of that like the qu you know, buried within like what's the value of art.
Um yeah, I mean, we know like we've read so many books where the writers were like their father didn't want them to write or didn't want them to paint or didn't want them to act.
Um, you know, I I think that's in there as well. 'Cause I I don't think they value it.
They don't understand it.
And they don't want to understand it.
