Yeah, so all of it was sort of in service, hopefully into making the reader really identify.
With that character, you know, maybe increase
the level of you know, how they experienced his experience.
Yeah, so I didn't have to come up with it all at once, which was nice.
You know, I don't say that glibly, 'cause this was not a book that I outlined first.
In many of my books I have.
So this one I kinda left it that way.
And this is the first book that I ever wrote it out of order.
Very slightly.
All my other books I wrote it in the order that you read it in.
Even if there's jumping around, or even like with horror movie, I didn't write the screenplay first.
I wrote those in sections.
I quickly realized that I couldn't even though Bernie's chapters come first, I had to write the Julia chapter first.
You know, so I wrote it in reverse order.
Because it's not a huge spoiler, but hopefully the the reader quickly figures out that when you're reading Bernie's chapter, you're reading sort of
his refracted experience of what's to come in the Julia chapter.
So and and having written the Julia chapter first, that helped give me ideas for what you know, how to make that strange uh
It make a strange but hopefully make some of the things connect to what
You know, you might see in a weird sort of
Surrealistic Roshimon kind of way.
