And I'd like to think that I'm there now.
I make the content that I want.
I don't necessarily think this one's going to go viral or this one's going to do well for the algorithm.
I kind of just make a video.
If I feel it, if I edit it, I've been to a lot of videos where I get in the edit and I'm like, this is boring.
Like we're talking about making a video here and I'm still trying to work out what it is that we're going to film, what I think is going to be fun and engaging for us to have some fun with.
But don't get me wrong, there is a part of that journey where you do have to build your profile.
You do have to build your network out because who you know and what you know are incredibly valuable, especially when you're a lone person in a massive ocean fundamentally, where the industry is absolutely huge.
And I've always been a one man band.
So there always has to be an element of, am I going to benefit monetary or am I going to benefit from a network?
Am I going to benefit from an experience?
And they all have intrinsic intangible values to it.
So last year I had a paid job with a manufacturer in the UK.
It was one day and I had to make an Instagram reel for it.
At the same time, I got an email from Bentley to go out to Yellowstone, fly into Montana, spend three days out there filming the new Bentley Bentayga S, something like that.
Unpaid, all flights accommodation covered.
I was looking at it from a balance of, okay.
a moda okay chinese brand yeah um did you just sick in your mouth yes so the he took the paid gig i would as well i don't know what the answer is but i would have took the paid gig i'm looking at it from okay my bills need to be paid like i can't pay my mortgage in experiences
Or photos from Yellowstone.
They're not going to accept that.
