I had the data that they had sent me to back up what actually happened.
And they were really upset that I put the video out.
And I was like, well, actually, from a PR spin, wouldn't you rather get me in another car and try and win me over and I can document how I've had a bad experience but turned it into a positive?
And they were just like, no, you're just never going to get a car again.
And Ferrari was the same.
I reckon there's probably a group, and maybe I fit into that at some point, where I fit into the group of,
saying I'd love to come and drive your car please can you invite me on this because I will enjoy it and make a really good video so I probably did fall into that category so you'd pitch yourself to do that because it was a positional thing right I want to work with the biggest manufacturers the cars that I grew up filming in London that flip to then know the people within the business meet the designers and the CEO and how everything comes together and almost see behind the curtain and
But I think maybe now being in the game for so long, creators have far more control than I think some may think.
So, for example, if I want to drive a Ferrari, I could just message Carl and say, hey, what Ferraris have you got in stock?
Let's come and do a video together.
I don't have to go to Ferrari to ask them for a car because they'll control the entire narrative where I drive it.

I remember one time I was coming back from the south of France in my personally owned Huracan.
Sam, seen through glass, had a Ferrari press car, 488, and was in the middle of France.
I was driving past him.
We were going to meet in Dijon.
And I'd said, I'd love to do a video, 488 versus Huracan.
And he went...
I've already been told by Ferrari, I can't make a video or put this 488 in with another manufacturer or a competitor.
So we'll meet, but we can't make a video.
