And the rest is, again, you were saying in this kind of strange way, it's recounted, but also it's sort of an imagined recounting because there are times where she's, you know, the narrator's thinking, well, I'll tell my husband this part of the story, but I won't tell him this part of the story, right?

Yeah, like she'll, you know, tell them about one experience at a hostel and then, you know, we'll decide to not share another experience she might have had at a hostel.

We don't know why.

Again, there are many layers of mystery to me and questions.

And I, as a reader, I'm deeply intrigued by that.

But it also makes me, I don't know, it makes me feel like I'm kind of, I don't know, falling down the hole, but in a great way, like the rat hole, right?

And just sort of being kind of, I just want to let go and kind of be a part of this world that Fiona's created.

And if the story is going to spin me around, you know, or if there are corners or spaces that I can't see, I'm sort of all for it.

It feels like an experience in that way.

I was hoping you'd bring that up because, again, I think, you know, I remember when this came out, that in itself was sort of a mystery.

I was like, oh, that's what an intriguing title is.

You know, to me, hostels are these sort of, I don't know, liminal spaces, right?

Spaces almost like airport lounges or something where it feels like you are part of a world but also kind of disengaged in a little bit where like sort of the rules of the world don't always sort of, you know, come into play in those spaces.

I don't know.

I don't know if you've ever backpacked, Debra, and spent, you know, time in hostels.
