I think it's quite hard to imagine just how little there was and how much improvisation he had to bring in to create what he did here and in all his early years of his career.

And I mean, the great thing about that is designed and installed in 1951.

Yes, it's been refurbished, but it's still here.

And in that lovely interview with Alice Morrow, Peter Morrow's daughter,

He says to her, you know, it was a huge responsibility and really frightening.

All this seating, it was going to cost a fortune and it would have to last forever, you know.

And I always say, it is, Dad.

You know, 70 years later, it's still there.

So that at the core of the building.

But also he designed a whole family of moulded plywood chairs and tables for children.

the lounge areas for the restaurant and for the terrace, actually.

And, I mean, a lovely thing for us, a couple of years ago, our Danish licensee and tradition has reissued four of those pieces.

So, I mean, to go back to your question, how many pieces, I think there's probably will be a couple of dozen now.

And, I mean, it basically transformed the world's furniture industry because people hadn't used polypropylene for chair shells.

You know, they'd used other plastic, Eames had, but using this new plastic polypropylene for a chair shell was something that Robin Day and Hilly invented.

And then, of course, that's now universal, isn't it?
