Last season, I think, bought him a lot of leeway.
He was really good defensively last season.
After a season like this, I don't think people are going to be insanely down on him.
If he has another season like this next year, then the Sabonis comps are going to come flying in, and you're never going to get two-time All-Star value, 23-year-old two-time All-Star value for him.
But I do think it's, you know, and it's always been a valid question to raise because of what the talk has always been, which is, as you like to say, to quote Ben DuBose, is the Q source worth the squeeze in the sense that you're not good offensively right now and you're terrible defensively.
how like the archetype is supposed to be you're so good offensively that you make up for your defense right and you're not good at either right and so that's when you get into those bonus comps where you go from the yokich types to the bonus types and once you get associated with the bonus types you're not going to get a good value for him
And then you add in that not necessarily a great fit with a man Thompson, definitely not a great fit with a Dime Udoka.
Where do you go from there from a team building perspective?
It just seems like Dorcas have good players, they just don't fit together all that well.
And once you factor in that Reed might be stepping in as, you know, next man up as far as superstar potential goes.
I know he's not close to superstar right now, but, you know, there's a lot there offensively to like.
How would he fare in this situation where he's got a better screening big?
And we see with Capello, who is a very diminished version of a very good screening big, that he's, you know, what, a plus 11 or something close to that?
I saw a tweet about it recently.
So he does really well with Capella.
How would he do if you got him, you know, a really good version of Capella or something of the sort?
So it's worth discussing.
I'm not sure it's the best path to go.
And I'm even less sure that Tillman would okay a move like that.
And to be fair, if I were in his position, I'm not sure I would either.
