It's bananas.

Now, this is a case study of government incompetency in terms of timescale.

It's gone through so many different iterations at this stage.

And now we're told it's going to come about in December, but it's going to have a two-year grace period for many of these particular properties.

And also there's a large number of these properties that have operated now for over seven years.

And so they cannot be enforced.

Planning cannot be enforced in these.

So these are immune.

It applies to all planning.

But it just shows you that the slow rate of pace in this has actually created now a separate tier of operators that can operate without coming into law.

And I don't know yet what the penalties are going to be for the platforms that are advertising these properties.

And that's the key element because you can do all the regulations if you like, but if people still have an access, a route to market that's not going to be enforced, you're not going to stop this happening.

Budget overruns.

So right now in health, for example, we had a budgetary overrun of about 3 billion euros last year.

40% of the budgetary overrun last year was in relation to waste in infrastructure, infrastructure waste.

For example, Aaron Rodaron incinerated 50 million euros on a IT system that didn't work.

For example, that's happening right across every single department in this country.

And if we can get rid of the budgetary overruns that are nearly inbuilt into Fianna Gael's budgetary plans...

We can actually bring down significantly the costs to the state.
