Okay, well that's what I want to bring
Well, there's three systems, either Wild West, which we kind of have now, proper registration or banning.
And I actually think we should at least try their proper registration.
One of the big problems at the moment is that a person on an e-scooter is anonymous.
Now, imagine if we all drove anonymous on a daily basis.
Yes, but a cyclist is self-powered, obviously.
These are far more powerful.
And the problem as well, like I've seen kids, you know, three, four kids on scooters, you know, driving the wrong way down the street in different directions, wrong way around roundabouts, etc.
And there needs to be proper regulation.
There needs to be a registration plate.
There needs to be a licence.
The Gardaí need to have the rights to pursue.
They don't currently at the moment.
Most of the Gardaí that I'm talking to in the GRA say they do not have the training or the licensing to do it.
They will be exposed if they do it.
And also parents need to be able to be made responsible.
So we actually want, you know, a parent who buys an e-scooter for a 12-year-old, that parent should be fined for that action.
And that fine should be enforced because... Yeah, because if you went into an off-licence and bought alcohol for somebody who was underage, you could be fined.
Well, it's absolutely wrong that a parent would allow for a kid to do this.
But also remember this.
