Sometimes we probably overstep and we give too much that they don't want.

And so we have to be careful about that.

But I think they do appreciate that support.

If I can share a really short story really quickly, my kid

Has many online friends.

He has lost touch with in-person friends after high school, which is a challenge.

We're trying to figure out how in the world do we make new connections now.

And

He started going to an annual convention that I would take him to because he doesn't drive.

And meeting up with these online friends.

And we've done this two years in a row now, and every time

His friends come to me when they meet me, like I've met a different group of friends each time.

And say

You're the best, mom, said

I can't believe that

What you do for your kid.

And I just wanna like they hug me.

And I think that is the only thing that I need from this whole parenting journey because it's an acknowledgement from him.

That I really fought for him.
