I saw a report today and it's completely fake news.
We're not meeting to talk about the Epstein situation.
No, no, no.
I'm not totally sure if I was assigned to the pool that day to be in the white.
I've been in that pool before.
It's your job to sort of ask the question.
Sometimes you can follow.
But at the end of the day, I covered George Bush.
I covered Barack Obama.
I remember.
Those people at the end of the day were based in truth.
George Bush sincerely believed there were WMDs.
He was wrong about that.
But I think he was not on the level every day lying about, are we having a meeting or X or not?
We have some basic need to be honest about we're having a meeting about this thing tomorrow versus the idea that they'd be like, this is a hoax and the reporters should be fired.
This kind of stuff is unusual.
So my question for the reporters on some level is you're there to sort of ask questions, but
you want to push back but on some level if you're dealing with a bunch of liars it's not entirely clear to me how many times you can ask them to tell the truth and in a certain sense i respect the news organizations that have sort of decided these briefings are no longer worth our worth our time and are not going to the white house briefing i think that might be there you go this is no longer an informational setting
Maybe you want to hear maybe you think there's some news value in your reporter being yelled at.
And sometimes that sometimes the lies they tell are revealing in a certain way.
