Uh I don't know.
I I'm I I don't I've never coached a team for four games, so uh that was the first time ever.
And and you know, it's hard to feel com it's hard to feel comfortable after that.
But I I will tell you, um
And I don't want to set a precedent here for for late uh season coaching uh firings, uh, but uh it it it was helpful for me to have spent two weeks there at the end of the season, coach four games, run the exit meetings, kind of get set up for this year.
I I feel like I'm definitely ahead of where I had been, you know, when I'd gone into other places over the summer.
Summer.
I remember Yeah.
The Mickey Mouse stuff.
That that that's a true high first round pick speaking, right?
Uh well th there's been a lot of uh of those uh uh Mickey Mouse guys uh end up being pretty big contributors uh on on your teams.
I I think I had one in Joe Pavelski, um you know, in in Dallas that was a sixth or seventh round pick.
So no but you know what, oh it's it's a good point.
Um I actually met with Schaefer this morning.
Uh I was at the rink, our rookie camp started today and uh
Uh we were just talking about uh it was it's hard to believe but this guy was in rookie camp a year ago this time, which is crazy to to think about when when you're out there watching the the rookie camp going on uh after the season he just had where where he probably would have been a contributor on the Canadian Olympic team, uh never mind uh winning the the uh the rookie of the year.
