And I know from both sides 'cause I've actually got some of the grants myself as well.

So I am a homeowner and um we basically got solar panels and we got a heat pump put into our home recently.

So I've done the process as well as fitted the the heat pumps in other people's homes.

We set uh targets for ourselves.

set targets for ourselves for t for twenty thirty and then for twenty fifty again, which are phenomenally high.

So therefore, why are we spending all this money and why why have we underspent and why are we giving out out about underspending my 120 million?

It's because

This is the motivation that the government have come up with to try and motivate people to get their homes to become more energy efficient.

So therefore they've come out with all of these grants and then this year was a huge year because at the start of the year, this year, they uplifted an awful lot of the grants.

The biggest uplift was the twelve and a half grand that goes to uh towards a an air-to-water heat pump.

Absolutely the government are trying to drive us towards having a more energy efficient home and they're trying to move away from fossil fuel and how they're trying to motivate us as homeowners to do that is to uh basically give us grants to get the works done.

So why the question I suppose that we're discussing here is why have why is there a money still in the bank?

Yeah, like I I I think like it's fairly obvious if you're looking to get small works done on your home, it's pretty much impossible to get anybody to get to to do that these days.

We definitely have a shortage of tradespeople in our country in general.
