A lot of the fire blogs these days are more focused on dividend income, which Australia is obviously very good for.
I think it's actually a really interesting point you touch on there.
There's definitely a thing when it comes to the property versus shares debate.
You're just drawn naturally, I think, a lot of people in one direction or the other.
I remember reading Owen's stuff from Motley Fool and stuff years and years back, and you could just say, he's a stocks guy.
It's not necessarily that one's right and one's better or whatever.
Some people are just more drawn in one direction.

Now, in my journey, I started out mainly interested in stocks because I was a chartered accountant.
I used to write annual reports for the listed companies.
So I used to think that, well, this must be my edge, right?
Because I understand the accounting standards.
But I've actually found from a behavioral advantage perspective, I found property easier because we've got properties we've owned for
more than 25 years.
The average stock period, the stock holding period, you would know better than me, but it's probably five months or something these days.
And so every year when I do my tax returns and you see these properties that we've had 15, 16, 17 years, that's really where I found the behavioral advantage comes in.
It's not necessarily that the returns are better from one asset class or another.
It's about finding what works for you and what you have a preference for.
Every finance book ever written is like, this is how I made my pile and you should do the same.
Whether it's business or property or shares, the reality is there's all different personality types.
