could play with their slippers on to lift their head and look forward.
We were always told, make sure the opposition can't lift their head, especially at Celtic Park.
You go in there, you make sure they cannot lift their head and put easy balls forward.
I'm watching it's too easy for them because the team are going so deep to start the play, Paul.
Especially when they were playing four up last night, really, to stop Celtic playing.
Then the two midfielders were in on top of the midfield.
Then they would launch it and Barry's 100% right.
McTavis is up there on his own.
The ball drops down.
Well, can I make a point here?
Barry was sitting there and this is how...
Barry before the cup final I think I've spoken about it before we played Arsenal in the cup final and we said Barry wants the ball all the time Birmingham City and the players would always give Barry it you'd always give him it and you're saying you've got him all week we worked on Big Alec had come up and said listen we missed Barry out and we'd ziggy chop front yeah
But we had two runners at the side of Barry, you know, who could run, and two wide players who could run.
But they knew the ball was going forward then.
So everybody would go, Arsenal would go after Barry, we'd miss Barry out, and all of a sudden they were the opposite side.
So it was a tactic.
So it suited the players we had.
Barry wasn't happy, and I'm sure if we'd have lost the cup final, he'd have been fuming.
You know, because he said he should have played through me.
But he bought into the tactic, but the players knew what they were doing.
