How good was Charlie Nicholas then?
Obviously, I remember him in his pomp.
He scored 50 goals around about 1982 before he went to Arsenal.
Arsenal wanted him.
Liverpool and Man United.
I think Liverpool was the biggest one because with Kenny and that was getting mentioned there and obviously he followed Kenny's footsteps I think Charlie's been quoted up maybe I'm wrong saying that maybe he should have made that move and I think managers changed at Arsenal as well but he still listen Arsenal fans still adore him they love him so it shows you how well because I think he scored two goals in the League Cup final if I'm right that's right yeah yeah
against Luton but he's a terrific player he's an unbelievable talent one of his best goals obviously he scored wonderful wonderful goals but remember his goal for Scotland against Switzerland he flips it up one and then hits it over with his other but he's got all the skills Charlie Devon he didn't need pace because he could lose you with just that wee swivel but he'd
fantastic technique and McCoy's the great striker for Rangers Kevin coming back to you in a moment Argyle would love to play his son would love to play against Celtic but it's not going to happen is that right he's a big striker he is a striker yes and he's a good friend of my boys as well and they think he's a fantastic kid but I don't think he can play I'm not sure if it's one he's either cup type or he was signed too late a real shame isn't it yeah romance of the cup
Yep, delighted to be here tonight.
And in this very studio, Hunter and Hockey will be on on Sunday morning, 11 o'clock.
The Business Show is back after their festive break.
And it's not to be missed, the Scottish budget, of course, early in the week.
And I'll be really interested to hear what Willie Hockey and Tom Hunter...
what they've got to say about it.
There's almost such common sense.
There's gems in there as well.
So, yep, that's Sunday morning.
Politics show will be back soon as well with Bernard Ponsonby.
He'll be here and, of course, we've got the Scottish election year coming up.
They're all tuned in here, Peter.
