But recently, when I, you know, when I started my business, my broker dealer,
in the 1990s.
And one of the things that we were doing for clients was encouraging them to buy gold and silver.
And we actually were working with the Perth Mint back then, and we were setting up accounts in the 1990s for our brokerage customers where they can own physical gold and silver.
And I was buying them at the Perth Mint, and it was $5 an ounce, $6 an ounce.
And now it's $60.
Yeah.
But this was silver.
This was a safe thing.
This wasn't a really risky deal.
And when we were buying gold, it was under $300.
But even though we had this big increase in gold and silver, the gold and silver stocks did not do what I expected them to do.
relative to gold and silver, because the cost of mining went up so much over the years that that increase in the cost of mining took away a lot of the benefit.
But I owned some royalty companies like Silver Wheaton, Franco Nevada, Agnegal Eagle, and these stocks did extremely well.
Not nearly as well.
Most of my royalty companies are about the same as the middle, up 10X or they've kept, but a lot of the mining stocks have only doubled or tripled.
And some are even lower than prices that I paid, but I averaged.
What I did personally over time is when the stocks sold off 20, 30, 40%,
I bought more, right?
What I didn't do and what I could have done is sold into the big rallies and then bought back and sold.
