And Carvey mentions it there that players potentially would be allowed not to play if they didn't think it was safe.

would not be put under pressure or not feel pressure to play even against his wishes, given the importance that is still riding on a lot of these matches in terms of the money that teams can generate from qualifying for the Champions League or not being relegated from the Premier League, for instance.

Kaveh, let me throw another complicated question at you.

Say we do get up and running again and after a couple of matches we find out that a player at a certain club has contracted the virus.

So what do we do?

Is that entire team then suspended from competition again?

What happens to the opponents they've played?

How do we fulfil the fixture list when we have to take a club out of action for two weeks because one of their staff members or players or managers has got the coronavirus?

How do you gauge the mood among the 20 teams?

Are they all eager to get playing again?

How do they feel about this plan?

What are the reservations they may or may not have?

Well, Carvey, in Holland and in France, we've seen the top divisions ended early.

There's not going to be any more football in the 19-20 season in the Eredivisie or Ligue 1.

If these 20 teams can't come to consensus of the best way forward, do you think it's still conceivable that the Premier League season, 2019-20 Premier League season, won't be completed or those final games won't be played?

Brian, I mentioned at the top of the podcast there have been lots of suggestions and ideas about how the season could be completed.

I've seen some people suggest that the two outstanding fixtures could be played to bring everyone up to speed on 29 games played and then you could draw a line under the season.
