And as I said at his funeral, that it was when he became a grandfather, that's when he was able then to have intimate relationships with his own children.
So he became...
a much softer person and a much more, I would say, gentle person.
And I'm so pleased that he had that opportunity to have intimate relationships with his children and, of course, with his grandchildren, who were a great delight to him.
But I decided in my second to last year at medical school that I would follow in his footsteps.
Why?
I did my territorial officer training.
I'm still not sure, but by goodness me, I really enjoyed it.

You went to Scots College.
You went there for intermediate and you liked it, you and your brother.
And so you stayed on.
And that's a good environment to learn.
And you ended up as head boy and ducks of the school.
And you went to med school.
That makes some sense.
Like, what do you want to be, a doctor or a lawyer?
