Having said that, we struggled for the first 20 minutes the other night.
We were down 24-0.
We won the next hour.
So it's not as though they gave up or didn't pick themselves up.
But for me, and I don't know how you looked at it,
Kind of looked like a team that was really lacking on confidence and a bit of belief.
We conceded tries we don't normally concede.
And to be honest, it looked a bit soft.
And they're the things that we've got to address.
And that's a mental thing, I think, with the players.
And I think that we need to support them with that.
We need to support the coaches and help them through it.
We've all been through periods like this.
I've been through it several times.
You've been through it.
You know what football clubs are like.
Particularly with a club like the Bulldogs, which there's so much outside noise and so much outside analytics and so much outside comment.
And we've got to shield our players from that as well, so they can just get on with the job of playing football.
General manager means I generally manage.
That's how I describe it.
