And it was almost like a step too far.
But I think Michael has probably explained that in part because of the conditions, which I imagine are extremely difficult to understand properly if you're not actually there.
And it was very obvious watching the game that it was pretty laboured and it was pretty slow.
And that explains why.
And that was why I was a little bit surprised.
I wonder if it's been lost in translation a little bit, but with what Tuchel said afterwards, because I was kind of on the side of Bellingham really when I first read it all and thinking you couldn't have asked for an awful lot more today because it was so hot and so humid and they got themselves there in the end.
But I think with Haaland, he just wasn't able to carry Norway today.
And I always felt that the day on which he couldn't carry them was the day on which they were going to hit the wall.
But I think Norway will regret some really big decision-making moments in the game.
The main one being the Soloth pass that wasn't to Haaland when they were two on one.
Stones did well to put himself in position to make it a more difficult ball than it would have been otherwise.
But that was pretty simple and Soloth had an absolute stinker the same as Manu Aki today.
but also if you watch back the corner that was conceded before Bellingham's winner there was a chance to clear that and it was a strange scenario where Pedersen I think it was the Norwegian defender almost looked like he was shepherding the ball out even though it had clearly come off his feet and then at the last minute tried to clear it and stuck it behind just little moments but I do honestly think that as soon as Tuchel made the last batch of subs and once England went into extra time they just seemed to have a spring in their step they were fresher and like Michael said they were going to win the game
It's really weird about him, though.
And I was saying this, we're going to write this in the newsletter tomorrow, because a lot of American readers, the newsletter, that he's quite a polarising guy.

He's got polarised opinions about him in the UK.
And it might surprise people to hear that there was any sort of debate about whether he should come to the World Cup.
