80s and 90s?

Yeah.

Well, yeah, early 90s when I was in Miami in 94.

No, until I got to L.A.

and Craig Kitchen is a great guy.

He's one of the good management guys.

Craig, Bob Green, you know, I can name some cats that were in my corner.

But Craig said, we realized that something, something, we realized that the cume or something goes up when people know what's happening.

I said, what would happen if I told people that I'm doing the voice?

He says, why don't you try it?

So we did that.

I started saying, I'm Phil Henry.

By the way, that was me doing that character voice.

And then I'd move on very quickly.

I don't know if it had any effect.

Today, I don't think I would have done it.

I think I would have just let the fantasy be the fantasy, just a bunch of weird asses, and let people figure it out on their own, you know.

But, you know, everybody's in such a goddamn hurry.

And in those days, especially now, I guess the same thing.

Let's hurry and get those numbers.
