Those guys talk a lot about how much, if you've got the right personnel on your offensive line, you need athletes to get out and to be able to get out of the box and get out to second, third levels and whatnot.

You've got to get across.

If you're running outside zone, you've got to get across the face of down linemen.

And so it does take athletic ability, which on the left side with healthy Derrissaw and Donovan Jackson, they absolutely have Brian O'Neill.

I think most people, I trust the O-line committee guys say that, yeah, that dude.

There's still, I think, a little bit of a question about Blake Brandel and Will Fries and how well they might operate in an outside zone heavy run scheme.

But if you look at Miami, for instance, last year, and the Vikings do not have a Devon Achan.

I mean, Devon Achan ran a 4-3-2 40-yard dash coming out of Texas A&M last

in 2023.

He's not even 25 years old yet.

So he is one of the most explosive backs in the NFL.

They don't have a guy like that.

But the majority of his rushing attempts came off the left or right edge because the Dolphins run a lot of outside zone.

Devon Achan averaged seven and a half yards per attempt off the right edge, according to PFF.

And just under six yards per attempt off the left edge.

So again, it'd be nice to have a Devon HN where you have a guy that can absolutely buzz around the corner or make that cut.

Boom, 20 yards, 49 yards, whatever it is.

But the fact that some of the key pieces, Derrissaw, Aaron Jones, are glowing about the idea of making some schematic changes here, I think that's a good thing.

Now, we can drill down because the Vikings run game has problems beyond what play call or what scheme they are operating in, whether it's mid zone, outside zone, whatever.
