And it's basically allowed him to make very, very good money and also to play a lot of golf and not even think about it and worry about it.
I know, this is the biggest mistake I make.
It's called the Dunning-Kruger effect, isn't it?
You've heard that term where you overestimate your own ability and a lot of people overestimate.
And this is one of the main things, this is one of the main lessons that I really always, for a long time, overestimated my ability and without taking the necessary steps to learn, which is part of why I started the podcast, because I really wanted to learn from the best people.
But humility is so important, really.
And having some friends that you can talk to about it so that you can test your ideas out.
Again, you know, coming back to Andrew Page and Strawman, that model that he's put together where people can actually share their ideas, test their ideas, and argue with those ideas.
I mean, you want to know what it's like in a funds management company.
They're not just making an investment.
based on, oh, I think this is a good idea.
They fully research, they go and talk to the companies, and then they argue.
They have these robust discussions amongst all the fundies all going, well, should we do this?
No, that's a terrible idea because of blah, blah, blah, blah.
But, you know, this is a great idea because of blah, blah, blah, blah.
And having that humility to be able to have your own ideas tested and thoroughly researched as well, that's so important.
Yeah.
Again, this is something that I've learned from a guest, and that's to avoid information overload.
It's so easy to get overloaded with information.
You just don't know what's going on.
