What he's saying when he says the Greek word here, the way he's using it is it's like human effort, like your effort, your attempts, your fallen nature. When he uses flesh, in this frame, this is what he means. And he's pointing to what you just said. It's very similar to what you mentioned in the 1 Corinthians passage, that I didn't come to you with wise and persuasive words, right?

I didn't come to you. That's another way you could say that. I didn't come to you with a fleshly argument. I came to you with a demonstration of the Spirit's power. And so that's the point that Jesus is making here. He's saying that this is where the power is going to come.

Well, it's ultimately what's happening here is it's probably the most, not probably, it's the most disruptive thing that ever happened to the power system. Because if you think about, if God lives in a temple built by the hands of men, if that's where he's at, all you got to do is just

burn down the temple just destroy it and you can contain him you can control him you can you got really you have total control which has been done twice in history it had been done twice in history and so then you think well what if the temple was in

And I don't know if they cognitively got this, but what's really offensive about this is probably that it puts us as humans in a posture that we cannot control the God of the cosmos. We can't contain him. We can't hold him. We can't. I mean, we have zero control over him.
