Exactly.
I mean, when you start comparing it to eternity, what was it?
It was just a bump in the road.
This is who you are.
Well, that's why on the Sermon on the Mount, when he's introducing this new concept, then after he goes through the attitudes,
He then starts saying all this stuff, blessed are you when you're persecuted, when people insult you, when they falsely accuse you, all these things.
You're like, well, how is that going to happen?
Well, that means you're doing something.
And then he gets to the famous three things about you're the salt of the earth, the light of the world, and the city on the hill.
And so then he's like, if you're the salt of the earth, that means you're salty.
So profound.
Have you ever tasted salt that's not salty?
And I did a little rabbit hole on this.
The salt was, there's actually a phrase, I forgot where it is, but a simple search will find it.
It was referred to as when they made the covenant, the first covenant, and it was the salt of the covenant.
Because salt, because a lot of people, you know, we use salt for a lot of reasons.
But it's like a preserver.
