But you're wasting a lot of energy and I suppose effort that's gone into clean it as well.

So the hosepipe can use a huge amount.

There are simple things that you can do to help, I suppose, with the grass staying more alive than without wasting water.

One of the easiest things to do is actually just to raise the height of your mower because longer grass shades the soil, keeps it cooler and reduces evaporation.

So it encourages deeper roots and provides a better habitat then for insects and pollinators.

So if your neighbor's asking you, why haven't you cut the lawn?

You're not being lazy.

You're actually just being an ecological superhero looking after your browning space.

I mean, you can get back, like, I know I'm not doing it, darling, for ecological reasons as opposed to the matches on.
