Absolutely.
Like they're they're they're brilliant.
Um it works basically on the same principle as as a fridge does.
So um it it's kind of like it's it's it's it's a a fan is pulling the damp room air into the machine and it passes over a cold coil.
And you're cooling the air enough and it reaches what's called its dew point.
And that means it can't hold all of its water vapor anymore.
So the water condenses into droplets and then that's what fills the tank.

Kind of like a re it's similar to a fridge.
So it's making your little indoor little rainstorm.
Um it doesn't use as much energy as say it's always better than a like a tumble dryer.
Now obviously modern heat pump tumble dryers are are far better than the older ones used to be, but a dehumidifier will work better from an energy point of view.
So if you're like outdoor clothes, zero energy dehumidifier by point nine to one point eight.
know, for six hours or eight hours of continuous drying and then maybe two kilowatts for for a dryer running on on that similar conversation.

Yeah, and I I wouldn't demonize them either.
Like i they're they can be remarkably efficient um compared with like I said to the old one or the vented ones.
Like it's filling it properly and getting the clothes at a high spin first again, and then like the SEAI classifies tumble dryers are c among the bigger energy users still in the home and recommends air dryer.
But it's like anything.
