I just put it all into an Excel spreadsheet and work out what is our spending outside of mortgages and outside of the big, big purchases.

Or calling an emergency fund the ability just to use to pay off a credit card.

The difficulty with credit cards is you don't actually know what your cash position is.

That's right.

The reason why I love cash and I'm very disciplined in the business as well is I always want to know what is my money and if I have a credit card that's sitting off to the side that has a balance and then I've got, you know, maybe $3,000 in this account but then four and a half on the credit card, well, you actually need negative balance.

So you've always got to do that mental math all the time every day when you've got a separate –

but just paying things with cash, you know you're at $130 today.

It'll go up to $630 tomorrow and then your spending this week is capped at $630.

And to be very candid, you and me, we're both financially comfortable to use credit cards and we're both disciplined enough to use credit cards, but we choose not to.

I use it in my business.

Yeah, and so do I. So what I'm saying is we're financially stable enough to go and be stupid with money sometimes.

So, again, it is something where it's a matter of going maybe you can because you're disciplined, you're amazing, but maybe you shouldn't still.
