That what Lita and I was begging for in a previous season, we did not have the character for. Amen. Didn't have the team for, the structure for, the knowledge for, the wisdom for, the maturity for. And that sometimes God would love you so much, he'll make you wait for another season. While he's perfecting your character. Perfecting your faith. Watch. Delivering you from idolatry.

And I just need to encourage somebody in this room. Hear me. God has not forgotten about your prayers. No. He has not forgotten about your tears. No.

Stop looking to the left and to the right of what everybody else got. And trust God what he has for you. And that he'll bring it to pass in the right season. For no parent with wisdom gives a 10-year-old child a vehicle. Although you have every desire to give it to them. You know if you gave a 10-year-old child a vehicle, they would kill themselves.

But in your love, you wait for that child to grow. Until they come to an age of maturity where they can now handle the thing they've been asking for. And I don't know who this is for or who's waiting on God right now. Watch. But let's wait without complaining. And let's wait without jealousy. And let's wait without covetousness.

And let's trust that God, who is sovereign, who knows the end from the beginning, who is the author and the finisher, who has gone ahead of you and has engineered your whole future, that all you got to do is be faithful until you catch up with what was already done. And maybe somebody brought you here to say, oh, come here, Philip Anthony Mitchell preached. Oh, he's just a man.

praise this is us saying God you've been so good to us and what you just did this week that we can pause for a singular Sunday and not idolize a preacher that we can pause for one Sunday to say thank you for what you have done watch for us as a family Is that alright? Are you sure? They're telling me my time is up. I want to do something special for you. Silver and gold, I do not have.

But what I do have, I'm going to ask God if he's willing that he'll transfer that to you. And what I do have, and I don't know why he has done it. I don't know. But God has bestowed upon Lena and I an unusual favor. That we're doing our best to steward, hear me, this intangible gift. Because we spend so much time as American Christians begging God for only materialistic things.

Houses and cars and... But we never think about what's more powerful are the intangible things like wisdom and character and integrity and favor. Favor could do more for you than a house. Favor could do more for you than a vehicle. Favor will put you in rooms you don't belong in. Favor will intersect you with people you have no business knowing.
