Students who open a social media account earlier in adolescence appear to perform worse in later standardised tests, new research suggests. voice-verified

So you're suggesting that there is a problem here, that the study may be finding correlation rather than causation, as in if you were able somehow to take social media out of the equation, that the cohort that were profound to be underperforming may have been underperformers for a variety of other reasons. voice-verified

Which would be supported by the fact that when it came to learning English, obviously it being a foreign language for Italian school kids, they performed better or as well as everybody else when they were on social media from an early age, suggesting or... voice-verified

lending credibility to what it is that you're suggesting, they were being exposed to something beneficial in social media. voice-verified

So reading between the lines of this study, then it is not suggesting there isn't any evidence to suggest that kids are being made less intelligent because of social media, but they are certainly being distracted by it. voice-verified
