There's certain philosophical motivations around Girdle's incompleteness theorem.

I don't know if you want to get into that right now, but I I I think it's certain philosophical motivations that I'm not convinced by that push them in that direction.

I think if you're just looking at the science, you're probably not going to be pushed in that direction.

It was Thomas Nagel who in his famous paper What What's It Like to Be a Bat in in the 1970s define was the first person to define consciousness in these terms.

Although people previously, for example, the panpsychist Timothy Sprigg, who was about the only panpsychist uh in in my philosophical tradition for for many decades.

Uh he he characterized consciousness with that phrase.

Um and I think it's a bit unfair that that's often forgotten about.

But anyway, but it was Nagel who first explicitly defined consciousness in those terms.

So why do I think particles or fields have consciousness?

It's n it it's not experiments that convince me of this.
