And then they meet a Monaghan team who are kind of just going we're in bonus territory here let's have a real crack at Armagh and at stages you were kind of worried that it wasn't going to happen for them but then Armagh kicked on showed their quality like you know.
So for me, they just have to constantly have that mindset of saying, right, no matter what, we just have to keep beating who's in front of us, right?
Now, Derry is an interesting proposition for them because obviously they're an All-Star team, but Derry would have wanted to get to that All-Star final and have, you know, a real good All-Star championship.
So this is probably the Ulster final for Derry right now.
They're going, well, if we were going to get into that Ulster final, this is who we were more than likely were going to meet are obviously the upset of Donegal getting beat way down.
So they will be, I'd say, positively thinking this will give us a good gauge where we are right now because Derry are trying to, I'm sure, get that.
continuous progression in trying to get back up to where they were possibly sitting at that top table to an extent you know and do you think like do they already have a kick in them do they have like a big scalp in them I do think so yeah I do I do I think they they will have to have like Armagh are their standards even when I was doing the analysis on the on the Ulster final the Armagh like the only thing Mullen had over Armagh from this season was two pointers obviously
all the other metrics um are well above right so you're even going from one hand to be armada that day they needed either am i to be down in tools or them to be up above all of those other kpis that gave you a performance to win a game and that's what happened but there you are i'd say are the same they would have to have they'd have to make sure that
Their turnovers, Armagh are brilliant on turnovers.
Their transition is so quick and they get scores off them so quick, right?
They'll have to go after primary possession to control the momentum and energy of the game, which is what Monaghan did at a point.
But ultimately what happened was Monaghan went after that kick out.
So Derry are going to have to do that massively.
Derry have something different that I've seen this year in their teams, that they have a kind of a high-low block.
They play, they don't sink in behind the arc as much.
There's times where they actually push out at five.
Five players actually push out, depending if the opposition play around.
And I think Armagh will probably challenge that a little bit.
They'll make them go deeper by getting bodies inside that 45 metre line, inside that arc.
So it's going to throw different propositions to Derry.
