I move that the Board of Supervisors approve motion 2B for the adoption of an ordinance for removal of a fire damaged structure at 20701 Riptide Square, Sterling as provided in the July 15th, 2020 public hearing item number three staff report.

But there was an arson case and three townhomes burned down.
And unfortunately, one of our neighbors lost her life in that tragic incident.

The subject structure still has not been removed or torn down or cleaned up, one of them, from the premises.
It was mired in a court case and bankruptcy.
We did try to, I want to thank the county attorney's office for trying to work with the owners and the insurance company and all that to try to get it
moving along, but it has not moved along.
And so it's an eyesore.
There are major public safety concerns.
It's very close to a school.
So the county is now going to step in and clean up the mess and place a lien on the property so the county gets reimbursed for the cost.
