Stocks rallied today, with investors hitting pause on last week's route and technology shares.
Both the Nasdaq and S&P 500 broke five-session losing streaks.
The Nasdaq rose more than 2% and the S&P 500 nearly 1.2%.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average, which added Alphabet as one of its 30 stocks today, ticked up roughly 0.6%, closing above 52,000 for the first time.
Google's parent company was the index's best performer, rising nearly 5%.
Other tech giants did even better.
SpaceX and Tesla jumped 7% and 8%, respectively.
