So what I'm saying is I think more likely than not, Nico Escher signs an extension and stays put.
But I'm not ready to say 100% because maybe that negotiation goes off the tracks.
Yeah, and you could throw in there, maybe not as alluring, but, you know, Samuel Montempo is not going to play another game for the Montreal Canadiens, and he's under contract, so they're going to have to move him.
You know, he's a backup at this point, I think, for someone.
But still, I mean, my point, adding to your point, I mean, every year we get the goalie carousel, and I think it'll be happening again here.
And it'll be happening again after a season in which
Teams are more confused than ever about how much to allocate to that position.
You know, so let's go back to the trade deadline.
I mean, the irony of Montreal and Carolina being in the Eastern Finals, they are the two teams that stood back in the East among the playoff teams.
They didn't make a trade, either one of them.
I mean, Carolina added Nick Glory, but neither did, I mean, Rod Brindamore was quoted that day after the deadline saying how unhappy he was.
He had to make a trade.
Kent Hughes was working on something big, but ended up standing pat at the deadline.
So, you know, Carolina got severely criticized in many circles for not upgrading its goaltending before the trade deadline as a measure of insurance.
And it's not that they didn't make calls.
I mean, I think they kicked tires on Sergei Roboski.
He didn't get very far.
But
they were adamant that the rest of their team plays a certain way in front of their goaltending.
As long as Freddie Anderson stayed healthy, they'd be okay.
