It didn't really matter what that was, I think, a lot of the time.

I just wanted to be good at something.

I felt terrible at school.

I felt terrible at the sports I wanted to play.

I really wanted to be good at Gaelic football.

And I couldn't.

And I always felt like I was disappointing my dad in that way.

And I wanted to be...

good at all these things that I had real interest in, but I just couldn't pull any of them off.

I just couldn't do it.

I couldn't pass exams.

I couldn't sit and think.

I wanted to write, but I couldn't sit down and write.

I didn't know there was another way at the time.

I just hadn't got these abilities.

And then...

Yeah, and then just, I realised I could tell stories.

Like, I can tell a story.

No, because I don't like being on stage.

But I do like telling stories.
