I think sometimes people are always searching for authenticity.

But what even is authentic?

But some people aren't authentic.

Yeah, some people are fake bitches.

Some people are fake bitches.

But you know who aren't fake bitches?

The girls I used to work with in the Martinati Hotel.

Oh, tell me about them.

And that was an intergenerational relationship I was obsessed with.

So like, I used to work there for years as a waiter, right?

And then we used to have waiters come in called the casuals.

So when we were in a really busy period and we needed more staff, they call in the casuals.

And you think because like they were guests in it that they would kind of slot in under us and we'd be like telling them what to do and like be like, so this is the way we do things.

Not these girls.

They were in, I want to say their 50s.

When I was there, Christine, Anne and Paul, they'd rock in from Knock on the Haney.

They'd go, okay, girls.

And then they'd start bossing us around.

And like, it was grand for me because I was like 17 or whatever.

But like some people who were working there for 20 years was like, why is this random woman now just telling me what to do?
