Well, we've got to talk a bit about someone else.

I want to talk a bit about Jack DeBellum.

and i want to talk he was a rugby league player still is a rugby league player um now he was passionate about obviously about the nrl um so this is what happens when you do work for an organization and your livelihood is dependent so he he got into some bother in an assault case

and he was charged.

And under the NRL, the Rugby League No Fault Stand Down Rule, he was stood down while that trial was pending, while the charges were pending.

Now, he was ultimately found not guilty, and he's returned to the league.

But if you take a young guy, you take him out of his sport and his job, his career, for two years under this so-called No Fault Stand Down Rule, and the poor bloke,

doesn't get to train doesn't get to practice he's excluded from his business is his skill his trade if you like and then he gets found not guilty where's the compensation yeah it should be uh innocent till proven guilty and if you're out on bail you should be allowed to um go back to normal life like anyone else would 100 and in the end he was found not guilty that's a the whole thing that that bothers me when did this happen uh well he's recently um come back into the sport but probably probably began maybe uh

early 2020s, 2021, early 2020s.

And it was, to me at the time, it just didn't sound right.

And I had a farm down in the Illawarra.

I support country rugby league.
