And he blames them.
He's always saying, oh, if they'd done what I told them to, they wouldn't have been killed.
That is in some ways quite hard to say.
I mean, we can see that it never goes away.
We can see that people are always reworking the story.
They're always having another look at it.
They're always conscious that they can never do it as well.
I think that it is the Odyssey combined with the Iliad.
do absolutely home in on really central ideas of what it is to be a human being.
What it is to be a man, what it is to fight, what it is to be a hero.
And the other thing is that they do it in such a complicated, tricky, sophisticated way.
that the composer, the composers of the Odyssey, really make you see the complexity of what it is to tell a story, right?
And, you know, they don't start at the beginning.
Stories often don't, you know, there's never a beginning to a story because there's always a beginning before there's a beginning.
