Yes, I can remember Cecil Powell coming to see us one time and I was in bed with measles.

And he came up to say hello, found that I was reading a book on astronomy.

And to my absolute horror, he revealed that there was one more planet than I thought there were, because this was a Victorian book.

And then to my even greater horror, he wrote on the front of the book, he signed the book, Cecil Powell.

And of course, to a child who'd been brought up to never ever write in a book, I thought that this was an absolute outrage.
