And also, I suppose, those symptoms that can represent the earliest stage of a sarcoma could be explained by 15 or 20 potential other things.

So it is quite difficult to recognise in the early stages.

You know, as a group, we had sent out in the past a golf ball to GP surgeries around the country to say, if you see something, a lump on a patient that's bigger than a golf ball, think about it being a sarcoma.

Absolutely transformative difference.

So...

There's often questions of why.

Why did this patient develop this tumour?

Why is it behaving so aggressively?

Why is it responding or not responding to the treatment?

Why did it come back after an operation?

And the only way to answer those questions is through research, through study, through study of what happened to people in the past and through study of what those things that make up their tumour, be it genetic factors, be it protein factors.

And to have a database information about patients and how they responded to treatment paired with samples from their tumour will allow us to do studies either locally or collaborate internationally to try and answer those questions.

So the staffing will come from specialist nurses, nurse practitioners who work at the service at St Vincent's Sarcoma Network and will travel to the outreach centre.

So initially, as David said, in the Midlands to set up a clinic there to help to...

shorten the distance for patients to travel if they're coming for surveillance visits, to help with initial diagnostic workup.

So if someone is presenting, they don't have to wait for an appointment to come up to St.

Vincent's, they can have it closer to home.

And to help to build awareness and to educate medical specialists and GPs around those centres as well.
